Offsite theft; Warning about "IMVU Mafias".

This isn't specifically about GASR theft.
But it's equally as heinous.

This is a general warning about some website called "IMVU Mafias"
http://www.imvumafias.org

They think they are pretty "badass" I guess you could say for selling templates made by famous devs.
Hence their slogan...

"Predits don't distroy devs we do"

I can't tell you how hard I am facepalming.
You guys are not anonymous, GTFO my internets.

Whatever you do DO NOT purchase anything from this website.
They are in no way affiliated with the devs who actually made the skins.
They have just extracted the from the previewer.

They are stolen.
They are stolen.
They are stolen.

If you do buy from there you could have a DMC filed against you if you are caught using these templates in your skins.
It's not worth it.

Here's a summary of the theft written by TurtleTrainer:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

http://www.imvumafias.org is selling Lumina and DeathByColour's skin files. Although I have deficient proof that this website was selling my files, I was led to this website by the individual who sold the files to ColourBursts. Suffice to say, ColourBursts is no longer a suspect/thief since IMVUMafias is actually doing all the extracting. However, I am aware that these two individuals could have paid the website to extract the templates for them. This makes the scenario even more complicated.
To apologize or not to apologize, that is the question. Just kidding. I am starting to feel a little empathetic towards her, though.

I took a few screenshots for those who are reluctant to sign up. I am having an urge to troll the website, but that probably will not do any good. These files were listed under the Gray Market section.

Disgusting. The only thing I can do is notify Lumina and DBC about this website, and hopefully get this website shut down... again.

I also got a hold of my suspect's templates, and I was right; it was my file. What surprised me is that they took my old skin files, particularly my "Pinky Dinky" one. By the way, one of the files had Aedah's head template. I feel cruel for having her head template on my computer screen.

- http://i55.tinypic.com/2lsy33o.jpg - I unraveled CB's file layer by layer, and beneath it all was this old ugly template of mine. Quite glad I updated my files.

  1. Thank you for making this post. I am also thankful to TurtleTrainer for sending me a homepage message about this. I am going to try my best to get that website taken down, but I can't make any promises. (And they will just more than likely come back.) In the meantime, I am just going to continue to develop because I am never giving them what they want: for me to quit. I just hope people are smart enough to refrain from buying these files. Because I WILL DMCA them if I find them using my textures.

  2. This literally makes me sick. I'm not one of the devs affected (far from it, I fail lol :D) but this is like an all new level of disgusting. Those devs are some of my favorites. This just pisses me off.

  5. ...you guys know that the site you linked to has report buttons on every auction to report this kind of stuff right? Tis an open auction site, just like ebay. You need to report the individual auctions to their admin through the available report features. The files are not on their server, and every auction has its own report button, the auctions are posted by members not admin, so a DMCA does nothing in this case. The site its self has done everything necessary to insure that it is not liable for the products being sold as it is considered an open classifieds, much like IMVU inc's own catalog, or like the classifieds in a newspaper.

  6. It's not hard to do what they are doing. If you can view the image on your monitor your graphics card can pull the file. IMVU, Sims, Second Life, World Of Warcraft, any game or anything can be done this way. No company can prevent it except for removing all textures completely.

  7. I took a visit to their site, read some of the things up there, and I.....I was speechless.

"With the IMVU groups service on our servers, we, The IMVU Mafias, can now better become a giant hub for all crime organizations on IMVU. Never again will an organization have to worry about IMVU deleting their group for activity against TOS. Never again will an organization have to worry about hackers on our secure servers which backup all information every night. All UFI activity on IMVU may now organize with our protection. Finaly, our empire will be safe from the one enemy we have never dared to openly take on for in the past our groups have lye on their own servers, The IMVU Staff."

An exact quote from one of their updates. Then they somehow have the heart to care about Asia and Japan(Nothing against that, just seems a bit warped to me).. They actually thought about filing a lawsuit against IMVU about the 20 sec music products! It makes me disgusted to see things like this. What the hell makes them think that way? I know IMVU's done some bad things but still...

  8. Imvu used to have the ability to pull the skin templates off the previewer because of developers that had lost files off old accounts, and needing to get them back. Now IMVU has create mode. The previewer is disabled completely.Noone can steal any further.Case closed

  10. Colorburst told me VisualNightmares (GummyBear's alt I think?) made the file she had. (With Turtle's nose). I went ahead and bought that file from him. And yup, had the nose. (Don't worry, I haven't used the file)

  11. The above comment does not surprise me.

  12. I'd like to also say that the people who are buying these files are no better than the people selling them. It's well known that this site is a scam and steals art from others. Anyone who purchases from this site should be DMCA'd asap.

  13. Colourburst knew exactly whose templates they were...and Colourburst IS VisualNightmares, Gummybear, etc. All of those are her accounts. They knew exactly whose templates they were. They're still STEALING!

  14. I hear they've turned over a new leaf and have eradicated the bad apples and are moving towards a better future, without any thievery or anything of what you talk about above, I also believe that you're blaming some of the wrong people, the person who took your files only gave them up because they got caught, when your putting the blame on someone else without knowing the full story, since you yourself said, you had deficient proof.

  15. Digital communication is ever-changing.

When it comes to digital marketing, email has long been known as the channel that generates the most ROI. In fact, because studies show that email marketing ROI is $44 for every $1 spent, it has traditionally been the best area for marketers to focus on.

However, like any successful channel, email has become overcrowded. The average professional gets about 141 emails per day and the CTR of a typical marketing email is just 5-10%.

Facebook, too, is changing. Once an ally of digital publishers, recent changes to its News Feed algorithm prioritized posts from family and friends over brands.

These are just some of the many reasons why chatbots, or chat apps that use artificial intelligence to receive and respond to messages, are rising in popularity.

With high engagement (the typical outreach CTR of a chatbot ranges from 15-60%) and dynamic communication sequences, bots can be the first customer touch, qualify sales leads, provide support 24/7, and service multiple people at a time.

In fact, the digital marketing chief at Interscope says, “A Facebook Messenger inbox is what an email inbox used to be...”

And Facebook Messenger bots aren’t the only ones out there — marketers can place bots on their website, landing pages, Slack, Skype, within their apps, and more.

  16. Former school resource officer Scot Peterson was widely criticized after he failed to confront a shooter who opened fire and killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last year.
The Broward Sheriff's Office active shooter policy calls for deputies to interrupt a shooting and search for victims when there's a ceasefire.
More than a year after the massacre, the former Broward County sheriff's deputy now faces child neglect, culpable negligence and perjury charges.
Peterson's attorney, Joseph A. DiRuzzo III, said the charges appear to be "a thinly veiled attempt at politically motivated retribution against Mr. Peterson." He said Peterson cannot be prosecuted as a caregiver since he was acting as a law enforcement officer in an official capacity.

  17. June is Pride Month, historically considered a time to celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer history.

A group in Boston has sparked outrage, however, by announcing plans to host a “Straight Pride" Parade this summer, although it's unclear if the city will allow the event.

Mark Sahady, vice president of Super Happy Fun America, a group organized by three men who claim to advocate “on behalf of the straight community,” announced that the parade is tentatively scheduled for Aug. 31. Sahady included a proposed parade route that mirrors the path of the LGBT Pride Parade that takes place on Saturday.

“We will have the streets closed and be allowed floats and vehicles,” Sahady wrote in a Facebook post. “This is our chance to have a patriotic parade in Boston as we celebrate straight pride.”

Sahady claimed he filed a discrimination complaint with the city and that officials are now working with the group on the event. City officials confirmed the group has contacted them, but they haven't received the permits required to host a parade.

  18. Bobby left the room then came back with the wooden dowel that Rob and he had used on Lynn's tits before. He swished it in the air a bit for show, then had the other boys step back away. In a commanding voice, Bobby said, "Hold them up for me, slut." Lynn again cupped her large breasts and offered them to him. He laid the wooden rod on them, then lifted it up in the air, bringing it swiftly back down across Lynn's breasts.

She gasped with the pain, but continued to hold her breasts up for him and said, "Thank you master. Another one, please."

Bobby grinned and laid the rod against the nipples of both breasts. Again, pulling it away he slammed it back, striking right above the areolas. Lynn gasped again then asked for another.

Les blurted out, "Fuck, you actually beat her with that damn thing! On her tits!"

Bobby looked smugly and nodded. "Any time I want to. She's my slave. I can do anything I want with her."

Craig and Jim were astounded and looked at each other. Les said, "I wanna try. Let me beat those tits. I'll beat 'em black and blue."

Bobby looked at him like he was a mental retard. "Why should I do that? Go find your own slave. Besides, you don't beat slaves, you punish them. If all you want to do is beat her black and blue, you probably don't deserve a slave."

Lynn tried hard to stifle her laugh and couldn't quite do it. She blushed and said, "I'm sorry master. But you're right."

Bobby grinned at her and said to Craig, "You can't hit her tits. Those are mine to do what I want with. But if you want to, you can hit her a couple of times on the butt. OK?" To Lynn he said, "Bend over the chair slave." Lynn got up and assumed the position he wanted, exposing her ass to them in delicious anticipation. Not only was her son humiliating and beating her, but he was letting the other boys do it too. God, her cunt was raging.

Bobby handed the wooden rod to Craig, who looked at it like he didn't know what to do with it. Then he moved around to stand sideways and gave Lynn's ass a tentative swat. It was barely enough to make a light sting and she said, "Thank you, sir. Another one, please."

This time Craig decided he knew what to do and brought the rod down on Lynn's ass with a good amount of force for a boy his age and size. Lynn felt the sharp sting, but it still wasn't near what she would like. She asked for another, so Craig hauled off and put all of the force he could into it, striking Lynn at the top of both buttocks. That one made Lynn gasp a bit, but ask for another.

Bobby grabbed the rod and said, "Here, Jim, see if you can do any better. She needs some welts raised on her butt so give it to her." The boy took the rod from Bobby and positioned himself so Lynn was on his left side, since he was a right hander. Mimicking Bobby, he put the rod on Lynn's cheeks for aim, then pulled back horizontally and let fly. This time, the blow struck the bottom of Lynn's ass cheeks and was pretty painful. She let out a soft shriek then asked for another. Again, Jim pulled back and let go, striking right in the middle of her butt cheeks. Lynn cried out from the pain but asked for another. Her cunt was dripping in addition to being on fire as much as her ass was now.
